As IPC confirms it is in talks with Attitude publisher Vitality to buy lads’ mag Loaded, we look back at how it has changed from its 1994 launch to today.

This could be an interesting way to consider the representatioin of women in “lad’s” mags. It could also be a ghood way to chart the rise in the “lad’s” mag and how it has changed from this to the Zoo covers we see today making there way to the top shelf.

It’s Sexy A-Levels!

Congratulations to those of you who collected excellent results today – they were very impressive across all three of the subjects. If you’ve taken the time off from celebrating to look at the media, you might have noticed two things:

  1. The usual ‘A levels are getting easier’ story, too tedious to debunk right now
  2. A disproportionate number of photos of female students getting their results in newspapers and on newspaper websites
